Music Taste Good – Day 2 Recap
Music Taste Good was Long Beach’s first inaugural music and food festival that was held in the city’s downtown streets on the weekend of September 23-25. Four stages and various food vendors were ready and set for Day 2 of the festival. Vendors from the city came together for one weekend with delicious options from burritos to gumbo.
Music Taste Good was packed with attendees. The sun was blazing but every single person was enjoying their time and focusing on the various acts performing. Rudy De Anda’s performance impressed everyone as he gave off Tame Impala vibes with various guitar rythmics. Machineheart brought a huge crowd, as female front-woman, Stevie Scott danced and sang away. Duo, Girlpool also attracted a crowd with their unique vocals and the addition of their live drummer. Chicago boys, Twin Peaks brought back old school rock and roll during their set. And, Minnesota’s own, Hippo Campus brought their indie pop sound to LB.
It was both, mine and Long Beach’s first festival ever, and it was done right! Hope to see it come to life again next year. -y
